“One Belt and One Road” China-Sudan Business Dialogue Held in Khartoum

On June 11th, 2015, CECC and Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation co-organized “One Belt and One Road” China-Sudan Business Dialogue in Khartoum. H.E. Mr. Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of the National Congress Party of Sudan and Assistant to the President, H.E. Mr, Li Lianhe, Ambassador of China to Sudan, Mr. Hu Yanxin, President of CECC and over 80 representatives from the political and business communities, think tanks and media were present at the Dialogue.

 

The dialogue was aimed at implementing the outcomes of China - Sudan ruling party high-level dialogue held in this January, and was supported by the International Department of CPC Central Committee and Entrepreneurs Secretariat of National Congress Party of Sudan. It is also one of the series of overseas activities on the platform of "One Belt and One Road" business dialogue.

Under the theme of China-Sudan business cooperation in the framework of “One belt and one road” initiative, delegates talked about specific projects in fields of petrochemical, power equipment, clean energy, enterprises’ development, infrastructure construction and so on. The two sides worked together to develop new thoughts, identify new approaches and explore new areas of China-Sudan business cooperation and jointly enhance the two countries’ economic cooperation at a larger scale, a higher standard, and a deeper level.

 

CECC working group was on a visit to Sudan from June 9th to 12th. During its stay in Khartoum, the working group met with H.E. Mr. Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of the National Congress Party of Sudan and Assistant to the President. The working group also made a call on Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Li Lianhe, Minister of State, and Sudanese Minister of Industry Yusuf with 3 other newly appointed ministers of Sudan. In addition, the working group held a colloquium with representatives of economic and business office of Chinese embassy and Chinese enterprises in Sudan.
