On April 4, 2014, Hu Yanxin, president of CECC, met with Jaroslav Tvrdik, Advisor on China Affairs to the Czech Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Czech-China Friendship Association.
Mr. Hu Yanxin briefly introduced CECC as an organization that promotes trade and economic cooperation between China and foreign countries relying on party connections. Hu said given the geopolitical importance of Central and Eastern Europe, CECC would like to be familiar with any cooperative intent and requests from Czech companies through Czech-China Friendship Association, so as to push forward cooperation between Chinese and Czech enterprises under the new situation.
Mr. Tvrdik said, as a loyal friend, Czech’s friendship with China had a deep foundation that rooted in the governmental and inter-party exchanges level. He emphasized that Czech Republic was working on policy measures and legal support to promote economic and trade cooperation with China. He promised that Czech-China Friendship Association would further promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation with CECC on the basis of strategic cooperation agreement signed in 2012. Besides, Mr. Tvrdik also introduced "2014 China Investment Forum" would be held in Prague, Czech Republic, in late August.
